While working as a Resident Naturalist at Finca Las Piedras Field Station in the Peruvian Amazon, I helped develop, illustrate, and present "El Mundo de las Hormigas," or "The World of Ants" with the Alliance for a Sustainable Amazon. The project was held at Nativas Coworking between April–June 2019 as a free, open exhibit and bi-weekly educational workshop for middle-schoolers in Puerto Maldonado, Peru. The watercolor and pen illustrations, which were turned into large panels, reveal not only the intricate relationships between ants and other organisms but many of the similarities between ant and human societies.
